Jatt And Juliet Set To Cross 10 Crore

 
Jatt and Juliet looks set to become the first Punjabi film ever to cross 10 crore nett business in India. The film is also the first Punjabi film ever to have good collections outside the Punjab circuit in India. Delhi/UP collected 40 lakhs in week one from just 10-12 screens and is likely to add a similar total in week two. In East Punjab the film collected 4.30 crore nett in week one and 1.50 crore nett plus in its second weekend. The two week total will be in the 6.75-7 crore nett. Overall it will gross over 9 crore nett in East Punjab and around 1.50 crore nett in Delhi/UP for a lifetime total of around 10.50 crore nett which is just phenomenal for a film released on 100 screens approx. It has set new business highs in every multiplex of the Punjab state easily beating the figures of Three Idiots, Bodyguard and Dabangg,

The idea of playing a superhero isn’t something that popped up in the Deol dude’s mind recently. He has been sitting on it for a long while, all the time thinking that superhero flicks are so blah. But after watching Krissh and Ra.One, and hearing about Salman Khan planning to play the role of a hero with a magical beard in Sher Khan, Sunny realised that he was mistaken perhaps.
So finally now Sunny has consented to wearing his undies over his pants…errrr…dhoti. But he won’t try to save the world from imaginary villains jumping out of the screen or from evil sci-fi gadgets. He will tackle a real social villain – tyrant landlords. And while the theme remains as desi as ever, the stunts and technology involved, we are told, won’t. Whoa! Now that’s a good mix, isn’t it?
What’s more, birdies chirp that the gabru jawaan has even managed to find a muse for himself. And it’s the babe who loves wearing colourful ghaghra cholis – Sonakshi Sinha! Perfect choice, huh?

Ajj De Ranjhe is another upcoming Punjabi film by Manji (Manmohan Singh), after giving nine hits to the Punjabi Cinema. Aj De Ranjhe star cast includes Aman Dhaliwal, Gurleen Chopra, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kimi Verma, Deep Dhillon, Darshan Aulakh and Rana Ranbiramong others.
Most part of the film will be shot in Chandigarh. Aj De Ranjhe is based on police-public relationship, how general public is scared of police and always try to avoid them. According to Manji, Aj de ranjhe aims at the makeover of the Police. The film will show that cops are there for our own safety and security measures so we must not shy away, instead feel safe to discuss situation with them.
Gurpreet Ghuggi and Rana Ranbir are there so do expect a lot of fun. Gurpreet Ghuggi will be playing the second lead as a cop in film. Aj De Ranjhe is scheduled to be released on 20th of July 2012.
